Aloha Honeymoon part V

Today we visit the island of Oahu. It is home to Hawaii’s capital, Honolulu, and it’s the most populated island, home to nearly 1,000,000 people. Oahu is perfect for those who want the best of both worlds.

Do you want to dance the night away and enjoy dinner at a world famous restaurant then spend the next day relaxing on beautiful white sand beaches with palms swaying over head? Then Oahu is the perfect island escape for your honeymoon.

Spend the day hiking at the famous Diamond Head (Leahi). One of Hawaii’s most famous landmarks this crater was formed over 100,000 years ago and was named Diamond Head because British sailors discovered “diamonds” on the crater. These “diamonds” turned out to be shiny crystals and have no value but Diamond Head is beautiful. The hike up the 175 stairs will be worth the views at the top.

Snorkel at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.  The clear blue water makes it easy to spot the colorful fish. Swim along the reef and be amazed at the beauty of this beautiful crater. This is one of the most popular snorkeling destinations on the island. The marine ecosystem is very fragile so please respect the ocean by not littering and leaving things as you found it.

Why not enjoy a spa day with your loved one? How about a traditional lomilomi massage, heated pohaku (stones) to relax every muscle in your body or Polynesian Nonu ? Enjoy all of this in a world class spa, such as Halekulani. They’ve been serving people from all over the world for almost 100 years and are known around the world for their hospitality, service, and cuisine.

Oahu has something for everyone. Fast pace night life, world class cuisine, shopping, beautiful beaches, and amazing snorkeling. Whatever your heart’s desire Oahu has something for you.
